Future of Egypt for Sustainable Development Authority awarded SIAC the construction of infrastructure works for Reclamation of Zone K & L (400,000 feddans), Future of Egypt Mega Project, Dabaa Corridor. Egypt.
SIAC's contract combines the construction of all networks & pumping stations to irrigate 400,000 feddans.
Scope of works includes all civil, architectural finishing, electromechanical, infrastructure, landscape, and road works.
Networks to be installed under this contract include the following:
- Prestressed pipeline length 29 km in diameter (1200mm to 2500mm)
- Steel pipeline length 148 km in diameter (1200mm to 3000mm)
- HDPE pipeline length 255 km in diameter (200mm to 1000mm)
- UPVC pipeline length 300 km in diameter (200mm to 315mm)
The Future of Egypt Mega Project aims to develop the New Delta region by reclaiming a total of 2.2 million feddans. The primary objective is to boost agricultural production, ensuring the availability of high-quality agricultural products at affordable prices for the citizens. Additionally, the project aims to generate surplus produce for export, thereby reducing the need for imports, increasing foreign currency reserves, and contributing to the achievement of sustainable development goals.
